Hola!
I've been a little MIA. It's been exactly a month since my last blog post. Whoops!
Such is life. We get busy. It's hard coming up with content sometimes. I definitely do not want to force it.
With that said, we went to a new Mexican restaurant in midtown, Los Comales Mexican Bar & Grill and I thought I would share!
It was a Friday around 6ish. They weren't too busy yet and their happy hour was $8 for a large margarita! Yasss! The margaritas were tasty and strong!
We worked on our Margaritas for a bit and ate chips and salsa while we checked out the menu. They brought out this chili sauce dip with the salsa that was very good and very spicy. We dipped our chips in it and later put it on our tacos.
There's a lot of options on the menu, but we opted to try the different meats in their tacos. I ordered the tacos locos which had a variety of tacos, barbacoa, carnitas, pastor, and carne asada. Randall ordered 3 tacos, shrimp, lengua, and chorizo. We also got a side of rice and refried beans to share because neither meal came with it. If you know me, you know I have to have my beans!
Everything was delicious! My favorite was the barbacoa! It reminded me of Texas and visiting dad. It had the most flavor with the chorizo and pastor tacos being very yummy and flavorful too. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so we took home some leftovers for Randall to eat later.
We will be back to try other items on their menu and get some more Margaritas and barbacoa! Yum!
Love. Mucho Mucho.
